Angle ---- kress & van leeuwen

The function of vertical angles is widely noted: high angles (looking down on a depicted person from above) are interpreted as making that person look small and insignificant, and low angles (looking up at them from below) are said to make them look powerful and superior.

high angle depicts a relationship in which the producer of the image and the viewer have symbolic power over the person or thing represented

low angle depicts a relationship in which the depicted person has power over the image-producer and the viewer

Horizontal camera angles. Moving the camera around the subject horizontally while aiming at the subject creates different camera angles below:

Eg:

this two people talking to each other. and the viewer- us just like not inside it.

Vertical camera angles. Moving the camera around the subject vertically while aiming at the subject creats different camera angles below:

High angle. The camera is placed above eye level, looking downward. A high angle shot can make a character look smaller, younger, weak, confused, or more childlike.
Eye level. Most commonly used.
Low angle. The camera is placed below eye level, looking upward. A low angle shot can make a character look bigger, stronger, or more noble. It also gives the impression of height.

White Rabbit

The White Rabbit Collection is one of the world’s largest and most significant collections of contemporary Chinese art. Founded by Kerr and Judith Neilson, it focuses on works produced after 2000.

The origins of the Collection go back to the late 1990s, when Judith Neilson engaged Wang Zhiyuan, a Chinese artist then living in Sydney, as her art tutor. He introduced her to the astonishing explosion of creativity taking place in China in the wake of the “Opening Up” that had begun in 1989. Mrs Neilson began buying works, but soon ran out of space to hang them. She and her husband then decided to open a gallery that would make the exciting world of contemporary Chinese art available to all Australians.

The White Rabbit Gallery, a specially converted knitting factory near Sydney’s Central Station, has four floors of exhibition space as well as a theatrette, a library and a teahouse. Only a fraction of the Collection is on show at any time. The entire contents of the gallery are rehung twice a year.

What Xiong Wenyun think about "Koong Koong":
"Koong Koong" is the sort of person

"'Koong Koong', I have compiled from the shape of a ring. The ring has four tentacles, and its shape not only like animals, like a plant, but also as the body parts." Xiong Wen Yun said, "In this ring Inspired, I cut it into three of the four tentacles, as distinct from human and animal ears. the top of the head of the three small angle is not the ear, that the three organs that can grow when allowed flowers, grass, trees, or even release the gas or missile or something. "

What i felt about "Koong Koong". Impressionism

Vincent Willem van Gogh

Impressionist painting is a landmark in the history of Western painting art , seventies and eighties of the 19th century reached its peak, its influence throughout Europe, and gradually spread around the world, but it is made in France, the most brilliant artistic achievements .

Impressionism painting: not based on reliable knowledge to make an instant impression of painting. Artists to capture the characteristics of the side to do a painting, so they must darting brush to color directly applied to the canvas, they can only give more consideration to the overall effectiveness of the painting, with less regard to minor details.

About the painting

In the short-term ups and downs but also a brilliant Van Gogh's life, his <> is one of my favorite paintings. Some people say when they see the sunflowers feels himself so small. My feeling is that the life of the combustion. That is actually the spirit of his temperament. A nervous man's performance. He has repeatedly described the theme of sunflower still life, he loved to put a lot sunflowers in his room. He said: "I want to draw on half a dozen of the" Sunflower "to decorate my studio, "
